Quantino, Quebec City’s high-tech business accelerator and incubator, is proud to support Orfoncé in its mission to innovate within the clean technology and green chemistry sectors. With a focus on fostering innovation and collaboration, Quantino provides a dynamic ecosystem that connects cutting-edge startups with the tools, expertise, and networks needed to thrive. As our incubator, Quantino offers invaluable resources and mentorship, helping Orfoncé scale its bio-ink innovation and drive sustainable advancements in the printing and packaging industries.

Orfoncé is collaborating with the Institut des communications graphiques et de l’imprimabilité (I-CI) to accelerate the industrial development of its petroleum-free Wood Ink technology. This partnership focuses on optimizing ink formulations, evaluating printability on industrial flexographic equipment, and validating performance for commercial packaging and labeling applications. Through this collaboration, our black and colorful Wood Inks have been successfully tested on industrial presses using a variety of printing conditions and non-porous substrates, bringing the technology one step closer to commercialization.

This collaborative project is supported by the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP) et Bioindustrial Innovation Canada (BIC), whose financial support is helping advance sustainable, Canadian-made innovations for the printing and packaging industries.
