Alireza S. Chahardeh

Dr. Alireza Sadeghi-Chahardeh is a material scientist and entrepreneur with a deep focus on sustainable innovation. He holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mechanics and Materials Science from Université Laval, where his research centered on the transformation of biomass and bio-based materials for high-performance industrial applications. With years of experience in converting forestry residues into value-added products such as biomaterials and bioenergy, Alireza combines scientific expertise with a strong entrepreneurial vision.

In 2023, he founded Orfoncé Inc. to revolutionize the printing and packaging industries with petroleum-free, compostable inks derived from wood waste. His interdisciplinary approach—spanning materials science, mechanical engineering, and green chemistry—drives Orfoncé’s mission to deliver clean, high-impact solutions. Alireza is committed to advancing circular economy technologies and reducing the environmental footprint of manufacturing systems in Quebec and beyond.

Farima A. Mamoudan

Co-Founder and Vice-President

Dr. Farima A. Mamoudan is Co-Founder and General Manager of Orfoncé Inc., where she leads business development, customer relations, and strategic planning. With a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Université Laval, Farima has extensive experience in applied research, material testing, and advanced system development—skills that she now applies to the commercialization of sustainable technologies.

Her strong background in innovation and R&D allows her to bridge the gap between technical solutions and market needs. Farima plays a key role in validating Orfoncé’s bio-based ink solutions with industrial partners and ensuring alignment with customer performance standards. Her ability to build relationships and understand client challenges makes her a driving force behind Orfoncé’s growth and its mission to replace petroleum-based inks with safe, compostable alternatives derived from Quebec’s forestry residues.
